I have always played guitar. I have always sung.
They say it´s in the blood of which several factors are indicative – both grandfathers; dad and brother to begin with. I started writing music early in my teens. I dreamt of establishing a band inspired by the great ones of my generation.
Although it seemed to take forever, in 1999 it was finally happening. Bloodpit worked their ass off playing whenever and wherever they could to build up a name.
Hard work paid off: Mental Circus was released in 2005. A couple of records, an EP, a few videos and a bunch of singles plus a DVD later we split in 2007. Of course, later they released an album with a different line-up.
My solo debut was released, rather quickly after the break-up, early in 2008. Mania For Life followed about a year later. That record really was a band effort. The third album Hell Or High Water came out in 2011. Considering my relatively young age, I have been fortunate enough to release five (six really) albums; see a bit of the world – playing concerts / touring in Germany, Italy, Finland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Norway, Russia, The United States of America ; experience highs and lows; taste a tiny bit of success and have my share of losing.
Ever since the mid 90´s I have kept a journal filling every page with life in good and in bad times. I could have made a cold fact-file – a list of my achievements, which would´ve been easy, only I don´t see the point. Just put on one of my records and see if anything happens – that´s what it´s all about for me.
